Triangle Universities Top Princeton Review’s Best Value List

University of NC

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill

The Princeton Review released its annual “Top 10 Best Value Public Colleges” list for 2014, with the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill holding the top position. North Carolina State University also made the list at number four.

The value of each school is formulated using data from Fall 2012 and 2013 via institutional and student surveys that cover over 30 data points, including academics, cost of attendance, financial aid, and graduates’ student loan debt. Out of the 650 schools examined for this study, UNC was chosen as the “most exceptional in the nation at delivering great academics combined with affordable cost,” explains the Best Value Colleges Methodology.

Universities in the Triangle are not new to the Princeton Review, as they have held top-ten positions in 2009, 2011, 2012, and 2013 according to the Triangle Business Journal. These educationally outstanding schools are just one example of what makes Raleigh and its neighboring towns such great places to raise families.
