The NC Triangle is composed of 52 zip codes, and according to a 2013 WelcomeMat Services analysis, the Cary-Morrisville area is the most popular for newcomers. Averaging 405 new residents each month, the 27519 zip code finished well ahead of the competition, with south Durham (27713) and inside the Raleigh beltline (27612) following behind with 356 and 337 new move-ins per month, respectively.
Cary’s popularity comes as no surprise. The town was recently ranked as the third best mid-sized city to move to by Movoto, largely due to its low crime rate and good schools. The city also has a low unemployment rate and high household income.
In addition, Cary’s proximity to Research Triangle Park is a great perk for new residents. With Raleigh recently labeled as one of the eight “emerging tech hubs you should pay attention to” in the world by the international transfer service TransferWise, Cary relocation will likely grow even more popular in the coming years.
