Downtown Raleigh Lincoln Apartment Tower Begins Construction

Downtown Raleigh keeps renovating as a new four-story apartment complex named The Lincoln breaks ground. Triangle Home Sales & Inventory on the Rise

The Triangle’s residential real estate market is heating up! Home sales in the area increased by 2 percent year-over-year in May, according to Triangle Multiple Listing Service’s local market report, which includes data from 16 counties in the region. Pending sales also rose by 3.5 percent. Durham Adding New Downtown Hotels in 2015

Durham is planning to open five new hotels and complete an expansion at a sixth hotel next year. According to Shelly Green, CEO of Durham Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city hasn’t seen that many hotel additions in a single year since 2004. Knightdale Station Begins Construction on Neighborhood Project

Knightdale Station, an 835-home subdivision, is ready to begin construction after its groundbreaking ceremony on June 4th. Preston Development Co. began acquiring the 300-acre property in 2005, and have recently hired three Fayetteville-based builders to construct the first 128 homes. Chatham Park Development Project Gets Approval

The Pittsboro town board met Monday night to vote on Preston Development Co.’s master plan for the massive Chatham Park development project. Four of five commissioners approved the request for what is believed to be the largest single development plan in North Carolina’s history, with the lone dissenting vote coming from Commissioner Bett Wilson Foley.
